Beverly grew up in Chicago's neighboring west suburbs all of her life. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago for 4 years, graduating in May 2019. There she received her Bachelor of Arts In Psychology with a minor in Gender and Women's Studies. She found her passion for youth-centered work during her internship at Howard Brown Health’s Broadway Youth Center, providing and connecting young people experiencing homelessness with basic needs assistance, health and counseling services, and educational and job opportunities. Beverly is eager to be a part of the 2020 Y.O.U.th Serve cohort to continue to expand her knowledge to better serve young people to improve their well-being and pathways to success.
Beverly is a vegetarian with a passion for cooking. She enjoys exploring the outdoors, whether that be a day in the sand or camping in the wilderness for a week, she's always ready to plan her next adventure!
